INTRODUCTION TO FLY FISHING
This class overtures all the basics and is geared toward preparing those
who are just getting started. This class covers equipment, the proper
tackle for the type of fishing you with to participate in, how the equipment
works, the best equipment with which to start, equipment maintenance,
fly selection, how to find fish and where to go. We also cover knots and
casting.
INTRODUCTION TO FLY TYING
This class covers the tools used in tying. We give the information you
need to choose the right vice and materials. We cover the basic methods
and techniques of fly tying and give you enough patterns to get started
and catch fish.
INTERMEDIATE FLY
TYING
This class is for the tier who has mastered the basics and is looking
to expand their repertoire. It is designed to give you advanced technique
and teaches you skills to tie almost any fly.
ROD BUILDING
This class is for anyone interested in building their own fly rod. It
will take you step by step through the process of building a fly rod.
By the end of the course you will have a rod ready to cast as well as
the knowledge to build future rods on your own.
FLY CASTING
This class starts off with the basics of fly casting, teaching you a variety
of casts that will prepare you for all fishing conditions.
INTERMEDIATE FLY
CASTING
This class covers the advanced fly casting techniques.
ENTOMOLOGY
This class covers all aspects of aquatic insect life. This class will
teach the habits, size and shapes of insects. It will teach how to identify
insects and then choose the fly that most closely matches. This will make
your time on the water more enjoyable and productive.
